$SOL Solana discovered a serious vulnerability through which bad actors could create fake evidence to mint infinite tokens or withdraw tokens from other people's wallets.

The development team (Anza, Firedancer, Jito) released a silent patch for validators, and within two days, the majority of the network nodes had updated. There are no signs of being exploited, and all assets remain safe.

The community is concerned that Solana's secret communication with validators raises worries about excessive centralization of the network, but the project stated that this is an emergency procedure that any large blockchain must undertake.
