🚨 The EU will ban anonymous tokens and anonymous crypto accounts from 2027

📌 The European Union (EU) has just passed new regulations, officially banning all privacy-preserving tokens such as Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), Dash (DASH) as well as anonymous crypto accounts starting from July 1, 2027.

📌 The new regulation prohibits financial institutions and crypto asset service providers (CASP) from managing anonymous accounts or processing transactions related to anonymous tokens. The regulation also extends to e-wallets, bank accounts, and other privacy-preserving tools.

📌 CASPs operating in six or more EU countries will be subject to direct supervision by the European Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA). AMLA is expected to select around 40 large CASPs based on the number of customers and transaction volumes.

📌 Additionally, the EU will require identity verification (KYC) for all crypto transactions of 1,000 Euros or more.

📌 This is seen as a strong move to enhance transparency and prevent illegal financial activities in the cryptocurrency sector.
