First, visit the CoinMarketCap website or app.

You’ll see an indicator called the Altcoin Season Index.

This index is one of our key measures for determining the arrival of an altcoin season.

When this index is below 25, it means Bitcoin is growing more than the rest of the market. However, when it moves toward 75, it indicates that things are shifting toward an altcoin season. But when can we be certain of this? When the index is above the 70-75 range.

At that point, altcoins start soaring one by one like missiles.
