In 2019, priests in Bhopal, India conducted a ceremonial marriage between two frogs to perform a traditional ritual aimed at pleasing the rain gods and alleviating a drought.
These frog weddings stem from age-old beliefs that such unions can summon rain.
Remarkably, following the ritual, the area saw heavy, relentless rainfall, raising fears of floods.
To symbolically halt the downpour, the priests subsequently carried out a ritual "divorce" for the two frogs.
