The Earth's core is located between 2,900 and 6,371 km deep. It is divided into the outer core, liquid and generator of the magnetic field, and the inner core, solid due to high pressure. Both are mainly composed of iron and nickel. The outer core reaches temperatures of up to 6,000 °C, while the inner core can exceed that figure. This region is essential for the stability of the planet and its protection against solar radiation.
