The European Union 🇪🇺 will begin enforcing strict Anti-Money Laundering regulations starting in 2027, including a ban on anonymous crypto accounts and privacy-focused tokens such as Monero and Zcash. According to the new regulations, financial institutions and crypto asset service providers will not be allowed to support these assets or maintain anonymous accounts.
Bitcoin is not completely anonymous as transactions are linked to wallet addresses and can be traced, so it will not be affected.
