Tether registers USD 1.000 billion in profits$BTC $XRP

Tether released its latest financial report for the first quarter, which analysis reveals an exposure of nearly USD 120.000 billion in U.S. Treasury bonds and over USD 1.000 billion in operating profits.

The report highlights that Tether maintains USD 5.600 billion in excess reserves for its stablecoin USDT, representing a decrease from USD 7.100 billion in excess from the last quarter of 2024.

The largest stablecoin in the market has a market capitalization of USD 149.000 billion. "The circulating supply of USDT grew by approximately USD 7.000 billion in the first quarter, with an increase of 46 million in user wallets," the balance states.

Tether's surplus capital continues to support investments with over USD 2.000 billion allocated in renewable energy, artificial intelligence, peer-to-peer communications, and data infrastructure.
