The bank is currently in talks and exploring partnerships with one or more established crypto firms to support this initiative. This strategic expansion into crypto could intensify competition with platforms like Robinhood and Coinbase — especially as Bitcoin recently surged to nearly $97,000.
This development aligns with a broader shift in regulatory attitudes under the Trump administration, which has taken a more lenient approach to crypto enforcement. President Trump has publicly stated his intention to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet.”
