#DigitalAssetBill Provide clarity on what types of items can still be considered personal property.
ENACTED by His Majesty the King, with the advice and agreement of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the House of Commons, in the current session of Parliament, and by the authority granted herein, as follows:
1. Items that can be owned as personal property
An item (including one that exists in a digital or electronic form) can still qualify as personal property, even if it is not—
(a) a physical item held in possession, or
(b) a legal right that can be enforced through action.
2. Scope, start date, and official name
(1) This Act applies in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
(2) It takes effect on the date it receives Royal Assent.
(3) It may be referred to as the Digital Property and Assets Act 2025.
