At the Token2049 conference in Dubai, Binance founder Zhao Changpeng stated that the blockchain industry must quickly embrace AI, or it will be eliminated. He criticized the market for being flooded with useless AI tokens, saying "99.99% are worthless." The truly useful AI agents should change the user interaction experience, rather than relying on hype.
He predicts that in the future, AI will autonomously trade and make payments on-chain, fundamentally changing market structure. He warned that if countries continue to promote a "localized custody + local order book" regulatory model, it will only fragment liquidity and slow down development. He further pointed out that countries like Bhutan, which have early reserves of crypto assets, are already beginning to benefit, while Europe is "disappearing from the map."
