The Japanese investment company Metaplanet has issued bonds worth $24.7 million to purchase $BTC bitcoins. The organization continues to implement its strategy of accumulating "digital gold".
This is already the 12th bond issuance. Metaplanet owns 5,000 BTC worth about $484 million — half of the target volume of 10,000 BTC by the end of the year.
At the same time, the company announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Miami — Metaplanet Treasury Corp., which will allow it to enter the American institutional markets and simplify the purchase of bitcoins. It is also planned to attract up to $250 million in investments to replenish BTC reserves.
