My first encounter with metaphysics was actually when I was 12 years old. At that time, by coincidence, I followed a master who didn't say much but mentioned that we had a strong connection. She told me about my future fate trajectory, but although I listened, my first 25 years were spent in very orthodox utilitarian education, eventually getting into a 211 university and then pursuing a master's and doctorate. I truly began to believe when I discovered that there were indeed cultivation methods in ancient texts, and that following them step by step could lead to real results... Although I know many people don’t believe, this is also the key point I want to discuss next; the article is a bit long, so everyone can take their time to read it.
Later, I came into contact with various powerful and wealthy individuals through my teacher, and I realized that the things related to metaphysics are truly hard currency in their circles. These are topics that scholars, top professors, even scientists and chief researchers of institutions would discuss and take interest in after sitting down. It’s quite difficult to understand; these individuals are staunch materialists in public settings, yet when I meet them privately, they speak fluently about the Five Elements, Eight Characters, Purple Star Astrology, Qimen Dunjia, and Feng Shui.
So I began to think more deeply about metaphysics, wondering if my understanding had been biased all along.
So, here are some insights and notes from my years of practicing and working in metaphysics. I hope they can help you better understand this subject that utilitarian education has always kept silent about, and then you'll suddenly understand why understanding metaphysics is an essential path for people striving for higher goals, and why utilitarian education never mentions these things.
First, fate is like the sea, and fortune is like a ship. It is easier to change fortune than to alter fate. To understand metaphysics, one must first understand what fate and fortune are. Fate and fortune are read together, but they should actually be interpreted separately. Fate refers to what is predetermined at the moment of a person's birth, but these are not things that will automatically come to you; you need to seek them out. Moreover, for different people, these things are distributed across different islands. Thus, fate is like the sea, with different islands containing different things, but you must go to these islands yourself to obtain them. Of course, some islands are easy to reach, where you can enjoy hot pot and sing songs, and you'll easily get there. Some islands, however, are difficult to reach, with storms, treacherous reefs, and pirates, yet you still want to visit these islands; it's not impossible, but the cost will be much higher than for others.
But what determines whether you can reach these islands? That is what we call your fortune. If you cultivate well, your ship will be good, allowing you to cut through thorns and brambles. Conversely, if your ship is shabby, then even if the route to this island is easy, your ship still won’t make it. This means that it is easier to cultivate fortune than to change fate. The islands in your fate have long been assigned; to change this is extremely difficult, as it amounts to altering your fundamental settings, which requires a huge cost—you would owe a significant karmic debt to the heavens. On the other hand, our ships are relatively easier to repair. In many cases, if your ship is well repaired, you can achieve results similar to changing fate. After all, think about it: in the same journey, there is a significant difference between a destroyer and a small raft. Therefore, the core of fate lies in understanding this premise. After grasping this, you will realize there are no claims that something is destined to be in your fate or that there are things that definitely cannot be in your fate. Just as I mentioned in the last point, you must steer your ship forward; you must actively seek it out. This is where our personal will comes into play. Simply put, you must seek, or else you will have nothing. You may not be able to demand anything, but with a sufficient cost, you can indeed obtain many things that others cannot.
Now that I understand fate, what does it mean? The meaning lies in knowing the route, which allows you to understand how to seek what you need. If you have more regular income, then work hard and don’t dabble in investments or side hustles. If there’s not much wealth in your fate but good relationships, then meet more people and engage in good romantic relationships; that is your true path. If you have friends with heavy negative energy, then they are really not suited for regular jobs; the more they work, the more they degrade, so it’s better to give up early.
At this point, you will find that the second aspect of fate is to help you cultivate good fortune, letting you know how to steer your ship properly. In the past, when I had not delved deeply into this, we said that cultivating good fortune meant doing good deeds and forming good relationships. While it is true that doing good deeds leads to good relationships, what constitutes good deeds and good relationships can be completely different for each person. Is working diligently a good deed? For some, it certainly is, but for another substantial number of people, simply working diligently may not be considered doing good. Similarly, donations and helping others; what is sweet for one may be poison for another; not everyone will achieve good outcomes.
Ultimately, the height a person can reach actually depends on their ability to embrace unfairness or, in other words, to accept impermanence. If we delve deeper into the underlying settings, you will find that metaphysics actually emphasizes unfairness, which is completely different from the education we received. Our education taught us that the world is fair, so as long as you put in the same effort, you will get the same results. This is, of course, incorrect, but the problem is that this concept is deeply ingrained, and many may go through life without realizing it. Hence, these individuals spend their lives complaining about why, despite having the same education and doing the same work, one becomes wealthy while the other struggles to make ends meet. That’s unfair. In the realm of metaphysics, people are born differently. Fate is different, fortune is different; where is the fairness in that? Thus, the key is how to make good use of these differences and unfairness, how to become a beneficiary in every instance of unfairness rather than a victim. This is the true life lesson for everyone. The height a person can reach, as I mentioned earlier, depends on their ability to embrace and utilize unfairness and their ability to accept and coexist with impermanence. Both of these abilities can be cultivated through metaphysics. So, let me finally mention a few points that led me to ultimately choose to believe in and regularly use metaphysics. First, practitioners of a certain level may use different techniques, but their interpretations of the same person's fate chart can be remarkably similar; note that I’m referring to those of a certain level. Second, I have seen several members of metaphysical families who have served certain high-ranking officials for years, and through hundreds of years, they have not changed, having seen some very, very old group photos. Third, what my teacher told me years ago is slowly coming true.
So, this article does not force you to believe, but rather hopes to open another perspective for you to view the world. Many of your life’s problems may thus be easily resolved, and your path to wealth may also become smoother. Of course, in the end, it’s perfectly fine for you to choose to believe or not; just let things unfold naturally.
