The influx of cryptocurrency enthusiasts to Dubai, where they gathered under the Gulf sun in hopes that the positive momentum in the sector would continue, despite signs of waning enthusiasm associated with Donald Trump's pro-cryptocurrency stance.

The list of speakers at the two-day event in the desert city includes CEOs of some of the largest cryptocurrency companies in the world, the head of digital assets at BlackRock and Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), as well as Eric Trump, the son of the American president, who is scheduled to give a speech on Thursday.

The American president had previously expressed skepticism about cryptocurrencies, yet he pledged to support this sector by easing regulatory restrictions, even launching his own cryptocurrency, which represented a radical shift for the industry after a series of collapses of cryptocurrency companies in 2022.
