#AirdropSafetyGuide

We are not talking about Binance airdrops now, they are obviously safe. We are talking about external sources of free tokens.

Airdrop is the distribution of tokens for free as part of the project's marketing campaign. For example, if a project needs followers on Twitter - it offers coins for following, etc.

How to participate safely:

1. Create a separate wallet for airdrops. This way, your main funds will be protected.

2. Check the presence of the project - do not fall for posts like 'write your address and receive tokens'. Most often, this is just a way to inflate activity, and you will receive nothing. Sometimes they may send a malicious token and steal your funds.

3. Check the seriousness of the project - the presence of a well-designed website, project description, team, whitepaper, active social media.

4. Participate through verified aggregators like Galxe and others.

5. Avoid offers that seem too good to be true. For example, no one will give $10 for a subscription; the reward is always economically justified. If the offer seems too good - check the project more thoroughly.

6. It is also advisable to create separate social media accounts for participation. To maintain privacy and avoid spamming your main account with reposts.

7. Never enter your seed phrase or private key. Never.

8. Check what permissions you are granting when connecting your wallet. There should not be an immediate request for access to tokens (approve token, sign access). You can check the list of permissions in your wallet and periodically clean up outdated permissions.

9. If a pop-up window appears with a signature - carefully check what you are signing. Safe - just a signature, for example 'connect wallet to use dApp'. Dangerous - unclear code, hashes, transactions, permission requests without explanations.
