$PYTH
A surprising decision came from the US this week. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has finally ended its investigation into PayPal's stablecoin, PYUSD.
Since its emergence in August 2023, PYUSD has indeed been in the spotlight, especially since PayPal is a major player previously known in the digital payment sector, not crypto.
So when the SEC issued a subpoena in November 2023, many suspected this could be the beginning of heavier legal pressure on the new stablecoin.
However, the reality turned out to be the opposite. In February 2025, PayPal received news that the SEC would not take any further action. And now, through an official document at the end of April, this information has been announced to the public.
