Vitalik Buterin: “Focusing on Ethereum This Year”
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has officially shared his priorities for 2025 — and it’s all about Ethereum’s long-term future.
Speaking on Warpcast, Vitalik said:
> “The area I am personally focusing on this year is Ethereum. I will concentrate on the long-term roadmap for Layer 1, full-stack security, and open-source development.”
He also highlighted decentralized technology acceleration (d/acc) as a key secondary focus — pushing the boundaries of decentralization in the ecosystem.
On a similar note, Tomasz Stanczak, co-director of the Ethereum Foundation, stated:
> “Vitalik will focus more on deep research and exploration rather than routine coordination or crisis response. This is about creating the path for Ethereum’s long-term breakthroughs.”
