Trump's Crypto Sherpa Bo Hines Says Crypto Legislation on Target for Quick Completion

The head of the Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets says new laws could be set by August, and Trump's own crypto interests aren't a factor.

What to know:

President Donald Trump's crypto adviser, Bo Hines, told CoinDesk that this week could settle some big legislative strategy points for the crypto industry effort in Congress, and he thinks the two major crypto bills are still able to meet Trump's August deadline.

Hines also defended the president's personal ties to digital assets, saying it's not "detrimental in any capacity" to the policy efforts.

Hines is a speaker at Consensus 2025 in Toronto next month.
