#AltcoinETFsPostponed The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed decisions on several altcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications, including those for XRP, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), and Cardano (ADA). Notably, the decision on Franklin Templeton’s spot XRP ETF has been extended to June 17, 2025. Similarly, the SEC has delayed its decision on Bitwise’s spot DOGE ETF application, setting a new review deadline of June 15, 2025.
These delays are part of the SEC's standard procedure to allow more time for evaluation and do not necessarily indicate rejection. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart notes that such postponements are common and that the approval odds for these altcoin ETFs remain relatively high.
Despite the delays, the crypto community remains optimistic about the eventual approval of these ETFs, which could pave the way for increased institutional investment in altcoins.
