#特朗普就职百日 Trump’s First Hundred Days
Trump has been back in the White House for a hundred days, and this period has been filled with uncertainty and turbulence for both the United States and the world.
During his time in office, Trump signed a large number of executive orders, attempting to quickly implement policies, but some policies were riddled with flaws due to a lack of thorough consideration. Economically, his tariff policy not only failed to bring manufacturing back and eliminate the trade deficit but also triggered global trade turmoil, rising domestic prices in the United States, and made survival difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises, leading to widespread public discontent.
On immigration issues, he abolished birthright citizenship and carried out mass deportations of illegal immigrants, actions that severely violated human rights and sparked legal lawsuits and condemnation from the international community, exacerbating social divisions within the United States.
In the realm of foreign affairs, although Trump actively mediated the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he failed to achieve substantial progress and even damaged relations with European allies due to his 'top-down diplomacy.' He also repeatedly made hegemonic statements, attempting to annex foreign territories, which seriously undermined the basic principles of international relations and resulted in a significant decline in the United States' international image.
According to a joint poll result released by U.S. media, Trump's approval rating after one hundred days in office was only 39%, marking the lowest record for sitting presidents in the past 80 years during the same period. This undoubtedly indicates that Trump’s performance in his first hundred days has not earned the recognition of the American public, and the challenges he faces in the future will only become more daunting.
