đ±SEC Delays Ruling on XRP and Dogecoin ETF Applicationsââ
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has pushed back its decision on exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications tied to XRP and Dogecoin. Bitwise submitted the proposal for a Dogecoin ETF, while Franklin Templeton filed for an XRP-based fund. The SEC has extended the review periods to June 15 for Dogecoin and June 17 for XRP to allow more time for evaluating potential rule changes and related concerns.
Analysts expect additional delays, potentially pushing final decisions into Q4 2025. The SEC has also postponed rulings on other crypto ETF applications, including Franklinâs Solana fund and Grayscaleâs Hedera ETF. This move comes shortly after the approval of three ProShares futures ETFs, which are scheduled to launch on May 14.
