US President Donald Trump gave an ironic response when asked who his favorite candidate to be the new pope would be.
"I would like to be pope. That would be my number one choice," the president said as he left the White House on Tuesday afternoon, the 29th.

Trump attended Pope Francis' funeral on Saturday, 26, at the Vatican, alongside dozens of other global leaders.
The conclave to choose Francis' successor will begin on June 7. Cardinals will make the selection behind closed doors and usually elect one of their own to lead the Catholic Church, although there is no formal veto on choosing others for the role.
