The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has once again postponed decisions on several proposed spot altcoin Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Filings reveal delays for ETFs holding cryptocurrencies like XRP, Dogecoin, and Solana, with new deadlines set in June 2025.

This move aligns with the SEC's standard procedure for reviewing such applications, similar to the delays seen before the approval of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. Analysts suggest these postponements are procedural and don't necessarily indicate rejection.

Despite the delays, optimism remains within the market for potential approvals later in 2025. Bloomberg analysts estimate a significant chance of altcoin ETF approvals by year-end, contingent on regulatory developments and the confirmation of a new SEC chair.
