It turns out that politicians, tireless defenders of the democracy of welfare, have increased their salaries

That's right. They unanimously decided to raise their salary to 153 thousand pesos monthly

Politicians will receive a salary increase this year, and their food support will rise from 75 thousand to 79 thousand pesos. This amount must be supplemented by other financial supports they receive for legislative assistance, citizen attention, travel, and accommodations.

The other support they receive is for Transportation and Accommodation, which varies between 8 thousand and 96 thousand pesos monthly for each legislator, depending on the address registered on their voter ID. For example, if a migrant politician has their residence in the United States or in a border area of Mexico, they would receive a larger amount of resources for this category.
