Arizona representatives vote in favor of Bitcoin reserve bills
On Monday, legislators in the Arizona House of Representatives voted in favor of two Bitcoin reserve bills. These initiatives could pave the way for the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve, one of the most prominent proposals from the Trump Administration.
In its third reading on April 28, Senate Bill 1025 (SB1025) was approved. This bill seeks to amend statutes pertaining to the state of Arizona to eventually allow for the creation of a Bitcoin reserve. The proposal was supported by 31 members and rejected by 25, and now awaits further progress in the legislative process.
Meanwhile, the SB1373 bill, which aims to establish a broader digital asset reserve, was approved with 37 votes in favor and 19 against. Despite its significance, this bill is more general than SB1025 and received greater acceptance among Arizona representatives.
