Will Hernández, business manager for Latin America at Bitfinex, highlighted the crucial role that Bitcoin is playing in the economic development of Latin America, describing it as "a lifeline" for the region. He emphasized this in a conversation with Cointelegraph in Spanish, during the Panama Blockchain Week.

During the conversation, Hernández explained that, although Bitfinex as a company is not physically established in El Salvador, its sister company, Bitfinex Securities, does operate regulated under the country's Digital Assets Law. "El Salvador was a pioneer in establishing a clear framework for Bitcoin and digital assets, and at Bitfinex we are committed to supporting such initiatives that drive industry growth," he stated.
