April 29 Heartfelt Words
The "Tao Te Ching" states: "The raging wind does not blow all morning, and the sudden rain does not last all day." A strong wind does not blow continuously, nor does a heavy rain last all day. Everything in the world has a beginning and an end. Excessive worry and anxiety only exhaust the mind and spirit, causing unnecessary suffering. By not exhausting tomorrow's troubles, and cherishing each moment in the present, one can live a fulfilling life.
As we reach adulthood, carrying burdens, we need a strong body to face the trials of life. A calm mindset, without arrogance or fear, is the best form of wellness. As the old saying goes: "Do not cling to the past, do not mix thoughts in the present, and do not worry about the future."
May we not dwell excessively on the past, not entertain distracting thoughts in the present, and not worry aimlessly about the future. In the days to come, may we all nourish our souls, treat ourselves kindly, and cultivate a life of peace and wellness.
