#TrumpTaxCuts

Trump promised an "almost total" reduction of the income tax when tariffs on foreign products come into effect.

The President of the United States assured that taxpayers earning less than USD 200,000 annually will be the main beneficiaries of his tax reform.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Sunday that his administration plans to substantially reduce or even eliminate the income tax for millions of Americans once the new tariffs on foreign products come into effect, in what would represent a radical shift in the country's fiscal policy.

"When the tariffs start, the income tax for many people will be substantially reduced and even completely eliminated," declared the head of state through his platform Truth Social, specifying that the main beneficiaries would be taxpayers earning less than 200,000 dollars annually (approximately 175,000 euros).

This proposal constitutes a fundamental change in the U.S. tax system, which has traditionally relied primarily on income and corporate taxes to finance federal government operations. Trump's plan suggests a shift towards a model where tariffs on imports would become a primary source of government revenue.

The announcement comes at a time of increasing international trade tension. The Trump administration has recently imposed tariffs of 145% on most Chinese products and 25% on most products from Canada and Mexico, in addition to a general tariff of 10% on almost all products from the rest of the world.

The government has also announced plans to increase tariffs on imports from another 46 trading partners starting July 9.
