How much Bitcoin does Satoshi Nakamoto have? Where did this money go? Has he really disappeared?
Since the creation of Bitcoin in 2009, no one has seen Satoshi Nakamoto, and his true identity remains unknown to this day. However, the 'digital legacy' he left is still active in the cryptocurrency world, especially among inactive wallets that have become a center of attention for many.
According to research by analyst Sergio Lerner, Satoshi mined approximately 1.1 million bitcoins in 2009, which is known as the 'Patoshi pattern,' a notable example of early mining. These coins have remained untouched and are still held today. The market value of these coins is now in the hundreds of billions of dollars, yet he has never taken any of them out or used them in trading or exchanges. They have remained dormant assets, becoming one of the most significant existences in the entire Bitcoin network.
So why doesn’t Satoshi use this wealth? Is he still around?
By the end of 2010, he gradually stepped back from Bitcoin development, leaving his last message in 2011, stating, 'I’ve moved on to other projects,' and then completely vanished. No one has ever seen him come forward to clarify his identity, nor has he used any private keys to prove his existence. Despite various speculations from the outside world, whether he is still alive, has passed away, or is even part of some organization, none of these theories have ever been confirmed.
Satoshi's 'disappearance' seems intentional, in a sense. He left no trace and did not exploit Bitcoin's success for personal gain. His absence clearly defines Bitcoin's decentralized nature.
Whether he is still around makes no difference. Bitcoin itself has become the most significant 'proof of existence' for him.
