This remarkable two-atom-thick material becomes so hard under pressure that it can stop bullets.

Typically, modern body armor must be thick and heavy to effectively block bullets — but that could soon change. Researchers from City University of New York have discovered an ultra-thin material that hardens on impact, reaching a toughness comparable to diamonds.

Called diamene, this material is made by stacking two layers of graphene on a base of silicon carbide. Graphene itself is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb structure. Known as the world’s strongest material, graphene is also an excellent conductor of heat and electricity, making it highly valuable across a wide range of applications.#SaylorBTCPurchase #xrpetf #dinnerwithtrump #BTCvsMarkets $BTC
