🚀 Ethereum Proposes to Increase Gas Limit 5 Times Over 4 Years
Ethereum is considering proposal EIP-9678 to increase the Layer 1 network gas limit from 30 million to 150 million over the next 4 years, starting with the Fusaka hard fork at the end of 2025.
The proposal drafted by Sophia Gold (Ethereum Foundation) aims to:
👉Increase transaction processing capacity
👉Reduce gas fees
👉Improve dApp performance
This is a strategic move to maintain Ethereum's position against competition from other blockchains and the development of Layer 2.
