Would you like to participate in an exclusive dinner with Donald Trump?

All you need is just USD $420 in $TRUMP

The team behind the TRUMP memecoin has been quick to clarify rumors that holders need to have a stash of at least six figures in dollars to qualify to participate in an exclusive event alongside the President of the United States.

This week, the website for the $TRUMP project, launched by Trump himself in January, promoted an exclusive gala with the president to which the 220 largest holders of the token would be invited. According to the website, eligible users only need to submit their name and email address to receive the invitation.

The tie-optional dinner is scheduled to take place next month in Washington, DC. The guest list will be based on a snapshot of the biggest headlines from April 23 to May 12.

Only USD $420 to dine with Trump

The news, which sent the price of $TRUMP soaring by more than 50% on Wednesday, also sparked all sorts of theories among the cryptocurrency enthusiast community, including the fact that large sums of money were needed to qualify.

In the post, they clarified that USD $300,000 in the token is not required to participate, and that in fact, a wallet with a few hundred dollars' worth of TRUMP is currently on the list of candidates to host the dinner. A user identified as "HAR" is ranked 220th, with just 35.3 TRUMP tokens, valued at USD $420, they indicated.

“The field is open and anyone has a chance to dine with President Trump!” they added, along with a link to the leaderboard. “You must register for the leaderboard if you want to participate. The sooner the better.”

The list's score is based on weighted participation during the campaign period, they explained.

Some social media users had claimed that only holders with more than $300,000 in tokens were eligible to participate. Others speculated about the listing of wallets based on Blockchain Explorer data, which, according to the team, includes ineligible addresses such as exchanges, market makers, and those with locked tokens.

Justin Sun among the VIP guests

Among the clarifications, the developers also confirmed that Justin Sun is among the candidates for VIP guests.

On-chain data revealed Thursday that a wallet allegedly associated with the Tron founder holding millions of dollars in TRUMP was among the top holders of the token.
