The price of the meme coin owned by President Donald Trump, $TRUMP, surged 54% on Wednesday, (April 24, 2025) afternoon after the official account and website of the coin announced plans for an exclusive gala dinner. The event is promised for the 220 largest coin holders and is scheduled to take place next month.

According to CoinDesk, $TRUMP was trading at a price of US$14 or around Rp236,271 on Wednesday afternoon. This increase occurred following the announcement regarding the dinner event at Trump’s golf club outside Washington on May 22.

However, the price of the coin is still far from its peak in January, which was around US$75 just before the presidential inauguration. Meme coins like $TRUMP generally decline after an initial surge due to a lack of real utility.
