#MetaplanetBTCPurchase Japanese investment firm Metaplanet purchased an additional 319 BTC for $26.3 million, bringing its total holdings to 4,525 BTC (worth about $382.1 million). The firm has been steadily buying Bitcoin since launching its crypto strategy in April 2024 and plans to reach 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and 21,000 BTC by 2026. Metaplanet is now the ninth-largest public Bitcoin holder globally and the largest in Asia. Despite Bitcoin's slight dip to $84,441, Metaplanet’s stock rose 3.71% on Monday and is up 967% over the past year.
