Sometimes I wonder what the meaning of predicting market trends is?

The collapse of the US stock market was predicted a month ago, along with the widespread despair in the cryptocurrency world, but not much money was made. So what is the use of predictions? I've thought about it for a long time, and it probably should be like this:

1. The inherent limitations of predictions: misalignment in the time dimension, distortion in the spatial dimension, and the reflexivity trap.

2. Mismatched tools, the leverage paradox, volatility swallowing, and psychological lag.

Perhaps the essence of prediction is a tool to reduce cognitive entropy, rather than a wealth code. As Buffett said: predicting rain is meaningless; the key is to build the ark.
