President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced the 'reciprocal' tariffs of the United States that more than 180 countries and territories, including members of the European Union, will face under his comprehensive new trade policy.
Trump and the White House shared a series of charts on social media detailing the tariffs they believe other countries impose on the United States. These alleged tariffs include 'Currency manipulation and trade barriers' from those countries.
The column next to it displays the new U.S. tariffs on each country, as well as the European Union.
In most cases, that price is only about half of the price that the Trump administration claims each country has 'charged' the United States.
The reciprocal tariffs are not necessarily the only tariffs that these countries will face.
