The SEC is organizing a series of roundtable discussions on cryptocurrencies
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced a series of discussions dedicated to key aspects of the crypto market:
April 11 – issues of crypto trading;
April 25 – custody of digital assets;
May 12 – tokenization of real-world assets (RWA);
June 6 – decentralized finance (DeFi).
The main goal of these meetings is to establish a clear regulatory framework for the industry.
In addition, the SEC is considering the possibility of distinguishing NFTs as a separate class of assets with appropriate regulation.
