I lost everything in 2022 when #LUNA and #LUNC plummeted from $116 to almost zero. Do Kwon had no backup plan, and all I received in return was just cents. I originally had 2,000 coins, which later turned into 1.6 million, but that meant nothing—the project was dead, and investors lost billions.
According to Reuters, Kwon agreed last June to pay a civil fine of $80 million and was banned from crypto transactions as part of a $4.55 billion settlement with the SEC. The latest accusation from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan accuses him of deceiving investors about TerraUSD (#UST) in 2021. He allegedly claimed that the "Terra Protocol" algorithm had stabilized the value of the currency when, in reality, he secretly used a high-frequency trading firm to manipulate the price.
Was this the perfect scam? The mystery remains. Investors lost everything—#UST is now worth just 1 cent, and #LUNC has no value.
A lesson learned: Never put all your funds into a single project. Diversify across multiple investments to reduce risk.
