Today's cycle is my third so far.
Every time, I profited, peaking at as much as $500,000.
But every subsequent one is much less than the previous.
Here are the things I learned through hard work (so you don’t have to learn them anymore).
Selling too early, you might miss out on some gains. Selling too late, you might lose everything.
Many things eventually come down to zero at some point. In hindsight, those who 'sold too early' often turn out to be geniuses.
(Even if it might get you mocked)
This might sound a bit cliché, but it does hold some truth.
If you have ever taken a screenshot of your profits because you felt proud of your earnings...
Sell.
This means you are satisfied with what you are currently doing.
(You don’t have to completely exit, but trimming a portion is usually a good idea.)
No need to impress others or compare yourself to others.
I have had this experience. My best friend and I used to hold on longer than we should have.
Why? It feels like one person sold too early and made more than another. Neither of us wants to fall behind.
Ultimately, this led to both of us ending up with not much.
Most people in this field don't really understand the situation, especially those who are the loudest.
They pretend to have a large following, but often, they don’t.
Those who truly understand the most won’t get involved. They have already succeeded.
Be wary of what you really hear.
I once had $20,000 in a real bank account while I made six figures online.
It's foolish not to sell any assets because project X, valued at $1 billion, is said to still be 'severely undervalued.'
Remember the NFT that was popular at the time priced at $100,000? Still undervalued.
Percentage Illusion
We all want to succeed, right? I know.
This means a 10x return is not enough. We need a 100x return.
However, other industries are satisfied with a 10% return per year.
Don't think you need to get rich all at once to stop yourself from taking anything.
Selling when stock prices are rising is the hardest thing, but in hindsight, it's the smartest move.
When everything is rising, you will always sell before prices peak, which can be bad.
A day later, your baggage will be heavier. But ultimately, when everything is over, your exit will be better than 99% of others.
I hope you find this post useful. They always take hours to organize and write down my experiences and thoughts.
