Proton Opens Bitcoin Wallet to All Users
Privacy and security-focused Proton has launched its open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin wallet, Proton Wallet, on iOS, Android, and web platforms to all users after completing its early access phase.
Proton Wallet allows users to buy, store, and transfer Bitcoin, including features for sending the first cryptocurrency via email and improved security by leveraging the existing Proton Mail infrastructure.
The wallet is designed to make the crypto asset more accessible to newcomers who want to use it as a means of payment outside the control of centralized organizations, the team noted.
