Recent data shows that in July 2024, non-farm employment in the United States increased by only 114,000, significantly lower than the revised 179,000 from the previous month and the market estimate of 185,000. The unemployment rate for the month was 4.3%, up 0.2 percentage points from June, reaching the highest level since November 2021. In October, the seasonally adjusted non-farm employment rose by 254,000 in September, the largest increase since March 2024. Non-farm employment increased by 227,000 in November, with an estimate of an increase of 220,000 and a previous value of an increase of 12,000. Tonight at 9:30 PM (Beijing time), the non-farm data for December 2024 will be released, with the market expecting approximately 160,000 new jobs.
