Binance announced that it will list @@Scroll_ZKP (SCR) on Launchpool and pre-market trading markets, and will be the first centralized exchange to list SCR.

Project Introduction

Scroll is a native zkEVM layer 2 solution for Ethereum. It enables native compatibility with existing Ethereum applications and tools. Scroll processes transactions off-chain and publishes concise correctness proofs on-chain. This results in higher throughput and lower costs compared to the Ethereum base layer.

Project Investment
At present, the project has completed 80 million US dollars of financing, and its financing lineup is very luxurious.
The Series A round was led by Polychain*, with participation from Bain Capital Crypto, Robot Ventures, Geometry, Ryan Sean Adams, Santiago Roel Santos, Anthony Sassal, Ying Tong Lai, Carlos Aria and other institutions.
In March this year, Polychain, Sequoia China, Bain Capital Crypto, Variant Fund, IOSG Ventures, Newman Capital, Qiming Venture Partners, and Moore Capital Management jointly invested $50 million

Scroll Architecture

Scroll is a fully EVM-compatible zkRollup designed to scale Ethereum. It consists of two main parts: The core part is the zkEVM, which is used to verify the correctness of EVM execution on Layer 2. The Scroll team has been developing this technology for over a year in collaboration with the Privacy and Scaling Group at the Ethereum Foundation. However, to build the zkEVM into a full zkRollup on Ethereum, Scroll also needs a full L2 architecture.
The current Scroll architecture consists of three major infrastructure components:
1. Rolling Node: Generates L2 blocks based on user transactions and submits these blocks to the Ethereum main chain. It is also responsible for message transmission between L1 and L2.
2. Roller Network: Responsible for generating zkEVM validity proofs to ensure the correct execution of transactions.
3. Rollup and Bridge contracts: provide data availability for Scroll transactions, verify zkEVM validity proofs, and support users to transfer assets between Ethereum and Scroll.
These components work together to make Scroll an efficient scaling solution for Ethereum.

Project Highlights

Scroll is a native zkEVM Layer 2 solution in the Ethereum ecosystem, which has attracted widespread attention with its outstanding technical advantages. Its main highlights include:
Native compatibility: Scroll’s compatibility with existing Ethereum applications and tools simplifies the process for developers to migrate EVM smart contracts to the Scroll platform, reducing costs and risks.
Off-chain transaction processing mechanism: Scroll effectively improves transaction processing efficiency, alleviates network congestion, and achieves higher throughput by moving a large number of transaction operations to off-chain execution and only recording key proofs on the chain.
Zero-knowledge proof technology: Based on cutting-edge zero-knowledge proof, Scroll provides efficient proof of correctness, ensuring the integrity and privacy of transactions while speeding up verification.
High throughput and low cost: Scroll’s technical optimization has brought significant throughput improvements and cost reductions, allowing it to carry a larger user group and transaction volume, while lowering the threshold for using the blockchain.
These advantages enable Scroll to provide more efficient and economical solutions for the widespread application of the Ethereum ecosystem and blockchain technology, and show broad market prospects.
