The Supreme Court has ruled that former President Donald Trump can run in the 2024 presidential primary, rejecting state courts’ attempts to hold the Republican former president responsible for the January 6 Capitol riot.

The judges ruled that states cannot invoke a constitutional provision to block presidential candidates from appearing on the ballot without an act of Congress.
