According to PANews, Vitalik Buterin has outlined the core features of the Fusaka upgrade, focusing on the PeerDAS system, which aims to enhance blockchain operations without requiring single nodes to download complete data sets. PeerDAS utilizes node sampling to verify block data availability and employs erasure codes to recover missing data. The initial version will still require complete data during the first broadcast and reconstruction, but only one honest participant is necessary. Future developments will include distributed messaging and block construction. Buterin emphasized the importance of security, noting that the number of blobs will gradually increase to facilitate Layer 2 and Layer 1 scaling.
