According to PANews, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated at the Bitcoin Policy Summit that Congress is expected to pass the (CLARITY Act) and (GENIUS Act) by the end of this year. She would be very disappointed if they are not passed before 2026. Lummis acknowledged that building bipartisan consensus is challenging, as some Democrats are calling for an investigation into the Trump family's conflicts of interest in cryptocurrency businesses. Lummis hopes to have the bills ready before 2026, but this timeline is later than Bo Hines' prediction. Trump has indicated he would sign a bill without additional provisions. Due to the narrow Republican majority in the House, at least some Democratic support may be needed for both bills to pass.
