Nebraska passes LB 526, a bill to regulate Bitcoin miners

According to ChainCatcher, the Nebraska State Legislature passed a bill to regulate Bitcoin miners, LB 526. The bill requires large miners to bear the cost of infrastructure upgrades, report energy usage, and allow authorities to interrupt service. The bill was passed unanimously by 49:0. LB 526 has little impact on Nebraska companies. It is only two pages long and straightforward. Unlike the anti-mining bill, it does not involve carbon emissions or environmental impacts and focuses almost entirely on the power grid.
