According to Jin Shi data reports, the Turkish Statistical Institute shows that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in April 2025 increased by 3% month-on-month and by 37.86% year-on-year, the lowest level in nearly 40 months. Classification data shows that the highest increase is in education, with an annual increase of 79.2%; housing with an increase of 74.07%; and clothing and footwear with the smallest increase of only 16.92%. Since inflation has been high since 2022, the Central Bank of Turkey has responded with tightening measures such as interest rate hikes, resulting in a month-on-month decline in the Consumer Price Index.
