According to PANews, asset management firm Bitwise has donated $150,000 to Bitcoin open-source developers to aid in maintaining and strengthening the Bitcoin network. This donation marks the first annual contribution following Bitwise's commitment to donate 10% of its gross profits each year upon the launch of its Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB). The funds will be distributed among three nonprofit organizations: Brink, OpenSats, and the Human Rights Foundation. Bitwise has indicated that as the BITB grows, future donations will increase to provide long-term support for the Bitcoin ecosystem.
