According to Foresight News, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has paused its lawsuit against cryptocurrency mining company Geosyn Mining. Court documents reveal that the SEC agreed to suspend the lawsuit, initially filed in April 2024, after Geosyn's CEO Caleb Joseph Ward and former operations director Jeremy George McNutt surrendered to authorities and appeared in court a day prior. Previously, the Federal Bureau of Investigation accused Ward, McNutt, and Jared McNutt, Geosyn's former sales manager, of defrauding customers and misusing client funds for personal expenses. Jared McNutt was not named in the SEC's lawsuit.
