Bitcoin’s long-term outlook continues to strengthen, according to Cathie Wood, CEO and CIO of ARK Invest. She argues that institutional demand is accelerating, pushing Bitcoin (BTC) further into the mainstream investment landscape.

“Many institutional investors are now looking at Bitcoin and thinking they need to add it to their asset allocation because its return and risk profile looks so much different than all the other assets in their portfolios,” said Wood.

With Bitcoin ETFs gaining traction and large capital inflows from traditional institutions, ARK Invest believes BTC is on pace to reach $1.5 million by 2030.

Bitcoin (BTC) Price Outlook: $1.5M in a Bull Case, $710K in Base Case

ARK Invest’s Big Ideas 2025 report outlines three scenarios for Bitcoin’s growth:

  1. Bull Case: If Bitcoin maintains a 58% CAGR, it could reach $1.5 million per BTC.

  2. Base Case: With a more conservative 40% CAGR, Bitcoin could still surpass $710,000.

  3. Bear Case: Even with a 21% CAGR, BTC could still hit $300,000.

Bitcoin Price Faces Short-Term Resistance at $100K

Bitcoin has struggled to break decisively above $100,000, despite long-term bullish expectations. Analysts warn that failure to breach this level could trigger short-term selling pressure, potentially pushing BTC down to $95,000.

However, a supply shock is looming, with only 2.5 million BTC left on exchanges, according to CryptoQuant data. If demand continues to outpace supply, Bitcoin’s price could see rapid appreciation in the coming years.

Cathie Wood’s $1.5 million BTC prediction hinges on growing institutional adoption and a supply-driven market dynamic. While short-term volatility remains, the long-term outlook for Bitcoin (BTC) remains highly optimistic, particularly as institutions continue to expand their exposure to the asset, according to Cointelegraph.
