According to BlockBeats, data released by CoinGecko on January 22 reveals that Ethereum has topped the blockchain revenue rankings for 2024, generating $2.48 billion in gas fees. Tron follows closely with $2.15 billion, while Bitcoin ranks third with $922.89 million.

The report highlights that in 2024, Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2) blockchains collectively amassed over $6.89 billion in transaction fees. Of this total, L1 blockchains accounted for $6 billion, whereas L2 blockchains contributed $294.92 million.
